My Photographic career
I started photography as a hobby and took a chance on the New Zealand Institute of Business Studies Diploma in Photography course 8 years ago. In less than six months of starting the course I knew this was me. I was commissioned by Tourism Dunedin before the year end and my work was being accepted in National magazines such as The Cut, New Zealand Outside, New Zealand Horse and Pony, Womens Weekly, etc and even shown on the big screen (Val Morgan) at the movies. I also worked as a stringer for the Southland Times where I have the pleasure of combining a hidden talent for writing with my passion, photography. I continue to work as both as a freelance photojournalist and feature writer.
My specialty for photography is weddings and people. I have had the pleasure of photographing a diverse range of weddings at various locations and it is a privilege for me to be able to take part in each couples special day. People look and feel great and I love to capture the best moments of their wedding day for them to remember. Your wedding photographs are one of the few tangible memories left at the end of the day, so they truly are worth their weight in gold.
I take pryde in my own individual style. I am professional in both my quality of work and the equipment that I use. My style is unobtrusive and I do not like to overpose people, prefering a fun, relaxed and natural photo shoot. My motto includes the words "creating images naturally..." and that is exactly what I want to achieve.
Please take some time to browse through some of my images, and thanks for visiting.
